Regular inspection of LEV systems is essential to meet statutory COSHH regulations and ensure workplace ventilation equipment continues to operate safely. Under COSHH, LEV systems must be tested at least every 14 months. Systems exposed to heavy use or harsh conditions may require more frequent inspections. LEV tests must be carried out by a competent person with specialist knowledge of airflow, contaminant control and COSHH compliance.
